Christine Pereira-Adams

Christine Pereira-Adams is an artist and maker based in London.
Her practice considers human issues that are global by nature but the completed book structures and the reading bring the viewer into the realm of the personal. This methodology focuses on our capacity, as individuals, to negotiate and reconcile the complex social and cultural issues created by contemporary society.

She studied Textile Design at Chelsea School of Art and subsequently worked as a print designer in the fashion industry for 20 years. As a mature student she returned to study, completing a Graduate Certificate in Book Arts and Crafts at the London College of Communication in 2009 and an MA in Book Arts at Camberwell College of Art in 2011. Her work is held in collections in the U.K. and U.S.
